Square One Here I Come

Well, you never can tell where you'll end up by the end of a year, no matter how much planning you do. This year was definitely full of surprises for me, from start to finish, but as it winds down and I look to the future and another full year of life, I take strength in the things I accomplished and overcame, even if they were not the hopes and dreams I'd imagined they would be. And I know that I can make 2008 an even better year.

So. I'm back to focusing on my writing and art, which will be where I spend most of my energy during 2008, trying yet again to produce my own comic book.

I'm currently in Dallas for the holidays... been here a while actually, Summer had to come back here for treatment, plus she bailed out of school for a while. It's been nice, but lame and limbo-ish. We're anxious to get back, which we'll be doing soon as we find a new place to live out there. So not long after the New Year starts.

Oh, and we're getting MARRIED.

Like I said, surprises.

None of the projects I thought I'd be in the midst of managed to survive this long. I'm going to be starting my own design studio in 2008 to help with publishing my work, I'll be building a website for that and I think I'll focus most of my web presence around it, rather than having a personal site and everything too. I mean, I've got a Myspace, so what's the need of all that?

That being said, I want my LJ to be something more personal again, not just an arm of my online media onslaught like I've been trying to make it. So, sometime in early 2008, I'll be starting a new LJ and getting much better use out of it. I definitely feel like I am in a place where having a journal to pour my thoughts into would be very, very helpful. So hopefully it will be more interesting than my last few journals ('specially this one).

That's all I wanted to say basically. I'm focusing on my design studio and a new comic book project, moving into a new place with Summer in Albuquerque, getting married, and I'll be starting a brave new Livejournal experiment soon. I hope you've all been doing well and are enjoying your holidays and shit. Talk to ya soon.

Hey, my site is currently down because of some confusion over fees and poop like that so I am working on getting that back up so that the interweb hootenany can begin anew. Again, I'll be posting details about how you can RSS the shit out of my awesomeness as soon as I figure what any of the means.

But in other news, Summer and I are back together and I am moving to New Mexico this Sunday so that I can live in her house and be her bitch. There are so many people I have not gotten the chance to see, but please don't get too mad. This is a very sudden sort of deal, and somewhat emergency-like given the situation so I have just been really busy. It is not that I don't love you. I will be back in Texas frequently... it's not that bad of a drive, my family is still here, and even if she doesn't kick me out right away, I promise, I will see all of you again. Be happy for me, damnit.

And seriously, three cheers for getting the FUCK out of Dallas. I will miss a few things and quite a few people here, but I will not miss Dallas itself. At all. I'm serious. Fuck this city. Also, the Bushes are moving here so triple-fuck this city in the ear canal.

I finished deleting all the old entries here, and I probably won't be making any more entries except to update on the aforementioned RSS crap. Maybe someday I will have another use for this, but right now I want to concentrate all my blogging efforts on my site. But I will be keeping it open and reading your journals and leaving stupid comments so don't despair.
